Man (45) released on bail after Donington pub attack

A 45-year-old man has been released on bail after an attack on Saturday night in Donington left a man with “potentially life threatening” injuries.

Lincolnshire Police announced the release today (Monday) and investigations are still ongoing.

A police spokesman said a man “in his 40s” was arrested at the Black Bull in Station Street, Donington after police were called at 11.47pm to attend a man with “serious head injuries”.

Officers and the ambulance service responded and the victim was taken to hospital where he remains.

His condition is believed to be potentially life threatening.

It is believed the man arrested was involved in an altercation outside of the pub with the injured man.

Officers are still appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Police said several cars may have passed by and witnessed what happened.
