Man pleads not guilty to sexually assaulting underage girl

A Gedney Drove End man pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a girl when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

Paul Charrington (52), of Winston Close, Marsh Road, Gedney Drove End, will face a trial in October which is estimated to last three days.

Charrington denies sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13 with his finger between February 10, 2007, and February 11, 2008 in Lincolnshire.

Judge James House KC adjourned the case for a trial at Lincoln Crown Court in the week beginning 2 October.

Charrington, who was represented by defence barrister Leanne Summers, was granted unconditional bail until his next court appearance.

Judge House told Charrington: “I am adjourning your case for trial.”
