Man left seriously injured by dog attack

A man in his 60s was hospitalised with a serious injury after a dog attack at his home.

The incident occurred around 7.30pm on Sunday, June 11 on Spalding Road in Pinchbeck.
Lincolnshire Police say the dog was put down as a result of the attack and the injuries sustained.
The details surrounding the incident have not been released but The Voice understands the dog that carried out the attack was not owned by the victim.
Neighbours saw several police cars and an ambulance attend the incident.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said they were called at 7.30pm.
“The victim, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with an injury described as serious.
“We have recorded a crime of a dog being dangerously out of control and our investigation is ongoing.
“The dog has been euthanised voluntarily.”
Police were unable to say what breed of dog was involved in the incident.
They also confirmed that nobody had been arrested as a result of the incident.
