Man jailed for sexual offences on girls

A Whaplode man has been jailed for a host of sexual offences against young girls, including rape.

Anthony Portor (62), of Hagbeach Gate, has been jailed for a total of 12 years.
The sentence was given for a number of incidents against three different victims who cannot be identified for legal reasons.
He was guilty of raping one victim under the age of 16, and assaulting her on three other occasions.
He also committed two sexual assaults on a child aged under 13.
Another child suffered an attempted rape and sexual assault.
The offences range from the early 1990s to more recent dates in 2022.
For the charges relating to victim one Lincoln Crown Court sentenced him to 12 months, two years and four years for the sexual assaults and six years and eight months for the count of rape, all to run concurrently.
One and two-year sentences were handed out for the offences against victim two, also to run concurrently.
Five years and four- month jail terms were given for both counts against victim three.
They will run concurrently, with one running consecutively with the rape count against victim one.
It totals 12 years of which judges said Portor would serve at least two-thirds in prison.
He was also placed on the Sexual Offenders’ Register for life and a sexual harm prevention order was made.
Portor was also banned from working with young children and young adults.
Four further counts remain on file at the court’s direction.
