Man in court on rape charge

A man has appeared in court after a report of a rape taking place at a Spalding property this week.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said officers were called to an address ‘on the western side of Spalding’ on Monday, January 27, at 11.52pm.
“At 1.30pm the same day, Shane Bright (30), of Wygate Road, Spalding, was arrested and later charged with rape,” a spokesman said.
“Bright appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 28, and has been remanded until his next court appearance.”
