Man flashed young girls at station

A Deeping St Nicholas man has been given a suspended jail sentence for flashing at young girls at Spalding Railway Station.

Antony Varley (58), of Main Road, pleaded guilty to exposing his genitals so that someone would be caused alarm or distress on September 1 last year.
Magistrates at Boston court on Monday, February 19, decided a four-month prison sentence suspended for 24 months was justified as the defendant was behaving under the influence of alcohol and targeting young girls.
He was also required to register with the police for seven years and attend appointments with a responsible officer up to a maximum of 40 days.
Varley was told to pay £85 costs and a £154 victim surcharge.
