Man denies child sex offences

A Whaplode Drove man has pleaded not guilty to a host of sexual offences involving attempting to meet children.

Stephen Thomas Daubney (56), of Chapelgate, denied the charges when appearing at Boston Magistrates’ Court.
The charges relate to incidents in Essex between December 2021 and January 2022.
The 11 charges include four counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, two of making indecent photographs of children, two of attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to observe an image of sexual activity, two of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and one of attempting to arrange/facilitate the commission of a child sex offence.
He was sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court with the first hearing scheduled for December 12.
His bail conditions included not contacting any children under 16.
