Man charged as five injured in RTC

A man will appear in court charged with drink driving after an RTC between a taxi and a Mini Cooper in Spalding on Saturday night that left five people injured.

Alexandru Gabriel Radu (30), of Cradge Bank, Spalding, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol limit above limit after the incident on St Thomas’s Road at around 10.20pm.

Five people in one of the cars suffered minor injuries with one female passenger having to be released from a vehicle by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

The Spalding Fire Crew also made both vehicles safe by disconnecting the batteries.

Radu is due to appear at Boston Magistrates Court on May 15.
