Police refers itself to watchdog

UPDATE: Lincolnshire Police force has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following the death of a woman in Holbeach.
The emergency services were called to an address at Tony Worth Close on Saturday and a woman in her 40s was found dead at the property.
A 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but he was later released with no further action.
A post mortem examination by a Home Office pathologist confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances around the death.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 40 year old woman was found dead at a Holbeach property.

Lincolnshire Police were called to Tony Worth Close at 7.50am this morning (Saturday, November 8).

A 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “A woman in her 40s was sadly found dead at the property. Her family have been made aware. The man has since been taken to police custody where he remains.

“Our officers will remain in the area for some time while investigations continue. This is incident 85 of 8 November.”
