Maltby treble fires Moulton Harrox to derby delight against Holbeach Reserves

Moulton Harrox made it 16 ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division games unbeaten on Saturday with a 3-1 derby win over Holbeach United Reserves.

Ollie Maltby bagged all three goals for the table-toppers to keep up his rich vein of form, rendering an own goal from Bobby Patterson as consolation for Omar Joof’s Tigers.

Harrox’s 15th win from 16 games keeps them three points clear of Whittlesey Athletic at the summit.

With Pinchbeck United’s game at ICA Sports postponed, the other Premier Division match with South Holland interest saw Crowland Town earn a shock 3-2 win at Thorney to climb out of the bottom two.

It was draws all round in Division One. Moulton Harrox Reserves held leaders Stamford Lions 2-2, while Long Sutton picked up a 2-2 draw of their own at home to King’s Cliffe and Spalding United Reserves were held 1-1 at Stamford Belvedere.

Elsewhere, Holbeach United saw their ChromaSport UCL Premier Division date with Kirby Muxloe called off due to a waterlogged pitch at Carter’s Park.
