MAKE THIS THE YEAR OF PRIDE

The Pride of South Holland Awards 2020 date has been set and it’s time to get nominating to make sure our local heroes share the stage with this year’s celebrity guest.

The Pride of South Holland Awards 2019 were the best yet, with an appearance by that year’s Britain’s Got Talent winner Colin Thackery topping off the celebration of giving. (See videos of Colin singing on stage backed by youngsters from Diamondz School of Dance at The Voice’s Facebook page).

But that was last year – this year will be even better and the awards need you to make that happen.

While the awards will be held in the summer for the first time – taking place on Sunday, June 28, the nomination process is the same.

Looking for a New Year’s resolution? Make it to nominate those people in our community who make a real difference and deserve to stand shoulder to shoulder with other inspirational figures at the South Holland Centre on the big day.

Organiser Jan Whitbourn is looking forward to the event already.

She said: “We are off again, can you believe it?

“We would like to hear from you and to hear your stories about the people who enhance the lives of others through their efforts, maybe just for a few neighbours or perhaps someone who has done so much for South Holland as a whole.

“We are looking forward to hearing of the truly remarkable stories of bravery and courage of some of the people who live in South Holland.”

She is appealing for people to get involved right away.

“If you know of a group or someone who deserves recognition, someone who has gone that extra mile for us, who we know should be rewarded for their help, support and kindness; please enter them for a Pride of South Holland award now.”

“All nominations will be considered by the category sponsors, who will draw up a shortlist of three to go before the judging panel.”

Find the category to the right that fits your local hero and email jan@tulip-events.co.uk with a detailed write-up of their achievements.
