The ever-impressive girls at Spalding Gymnastic Club collected more medals at the first inter-club level six competition held at their academy.

Gymnasts from Holbeach, Eagles, Titans, Sleaford and Daves (Colchester) joined hosts Spalding at their Cradge Bank base in what proved a friendly and exciting event.

The undoubted highlight of the day for Spalding came in the 12 years age group, where Jess Wand won gold all four pieces.

Her fantastic foursome of first on floor, vault, bars and beam ensured that she also took the trophy for the highest marks overall.

She was backed up superbly by team-mate Macey Brown, who had three silvers on floor, bars and beam.

In the seven years group, Georgia Bane won gold on bars and silver on floor, while Evie Fox won gold on beam and Lucy Rudd took gold on the floor and bronze on vault.

Up in the eight years section, Lyle Burrell-Kennedy landed gold on floor and silver on both vault and bars. More medals came as Katie Simpson grabbed gold on vault and silver on bars, while Caitlin Keyzers bagged bronze on floor.

Further success followed in the nine years group, too. Paige Watterson got gold on floor and vault, while Beth McFarlane won gold on bars and bronze on both floor and vault.

Not to be outdone, Olivia Fokt picked up bronze on vault and Ceri Thomas added bronze on beam.

At 10 years, Daisy Cross got silver on vault, while Amelia Ellis claimed silver on bars, Hester Patrick got silver on floor and Sophie Palmer starred with gold on bars.

Up a year in the 11 years group, Betsy Boswell led the way by winning gold on both floor and vault, as well as sealing silver on bars.

Lydia Ellis also impressed as she collected gold on bars before winning a brace of bronzes on floor and beam.
