Rooke’s has unveiled its face for 2024.
The pet supply company on High Street, Spalding, launched their 11th annual Face of Rooke’s competition in August.
The first competition in 2012 was open to puppies and kittens only before including pets of all shapes and sizes in 2014.
It’s grown in popularity too with the number of entries received in 2023 surpass previous years.
Entries closed at the end of October and ten finalists were chosen for the public to vote for their winner.
Pets big and small battled it out for the Face of Rooke’s crown, including a British Shorthair, German Shepherd, a Crested Californian Guinea Pig and even a Bearded Dragon.
But it was Mabel the Dachshund who received the majority vote, taking the crown from reigning champ, Buzz the Cocker Spaniel.
As the 2024 winner, Mabel receives a whopping £100.00 voucher to spend in store at Rooke’s, an exclusive 12-month Rooke’s discount card and she will have her photo pride of place across Rooke’s promotional material for the whole of 2024.
A spokesman for the company said: “Mabel’s Face of Rooke’s reign will commence in the New Year when she will be featured across the Rooke’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media accounts, local newspaper adverts and on the Rooke’s Pet Products website.
“Keep your eyes peeled.”
