Lucy loses her locks for charity

A Long Sutton youngster has raised over £500 for charity by having her long hair dramatically cut off.

Lucy West (10), who attends William Stukeley Primary School in Holbeach, had 12 inches of locks chopped for the Little Princess Trust on Saturday, February 17.

The charity turns hair into wigs for young people who have suffered hair loss through illness or cancer therapy.

And to help the charity even further, Lucy has also raised £510 worth of donations through her Just Giving page.

The big cut was held at the Long Sutton family home.

Lucy’s mum Jo West said: “I’m very proud.

“Thank you to all for their generous donations.

“Lucy’s hair is so short compared to how it used to be, but I love how it looks now.”
