Lovely Lent Lunches lift LIVES

A church has presented a cheque to a life-saving charity thanks to its Lent Lunches.

Through the period in the run up to Easter, St Laurence’s Church in Surfleet hosted the lunches.

Parishioners were invited to pop into its Fraiser Room on some Fridays for food, drink and chat and were asked to make a donation.

As a result, a cheque for £557 was presented to LIVES recently.

Next up is the church’s annual Flower Festival which starts on Saturday (April 25) and runs until Monday, May 4.
