Lots of fun in the sun

A total of 4,200 people enjoyed the annual Bakkavor Party in the Park and funday.

Held at Springfields Events Centre, the weekend saw 3,000 people attend the funfair and It’s A Knockout competition during the day, with a further 1,200 passing through the gates in the evening for the Party in the Park musical spectacular.

Organisers are still in the process of counting the proceeds but they estimate around £8,000 will be donated to local charities.
