Long Sutton clinched their second Spalding and District League double on the trot after crushing Consti C 7-0 in a rearranged game last week.
A super 64 break from Adam Barwell (O10), a cool 46 from Mick Cooper (O40) and Sean Swinburn’s (O20) 34 steered Sutton to the title with one game to spare.
Having already won the Billiards KO Cup at finals weekend, it has been another stand-out season for the Sutton lads.
Meanwhile, Crowland B’s Rob Childs (O200) made the biggest break in the league since November 2008 in another rearranged tie.
Childs amassed an amazing 153 in a 5-2 victory over Consti D, which is the highest individual score since his own offering of 163 some six seasons back.
The league’s best-ever break remains Roxton Chapman’s huge 260 back back in 1991/92.
