Lions spread charity thanks

Spalding Lions members are thanking all the local organisations and individuals who help with the annual Christmas Santa Sleigh runs.

A special event was held at the Constitutional Club in Spalding where Lion president Stuart East presented cheques to a number of charities.
Donations were made to Spalding Flower Parade, Pinchbeck Guiders, Sense, PHAB, Lives, Moulton Harrox U15 Football Club, Donington Community Fire Station (Firefighters Charity), Flinders Founders, Tonic Health, Marching Ambassadors , Monks House Brownies, Cowbit Brownies and Coun Andrew Woolf for Blood Cancer UK and Spalding Mencap.
The Lions also thanked Santa’s Helpers, Nigel and Rodney who walked the routes every night, sponsors who kept the sleigh running, Morrisons for allow the use of their premises and Santa himself.
The Lions meet twice a month at the club in Broad Street and new members will be welcome.
