Lions hand out Walk Tall awards

Spalding Lions spent the last week of the school term recognising primary school leavers who Walk Tall.

The Walk Tall award is chosen by a teacher or head of a school the Lions are involved with to recognise the determination and perseverance of a pupil in their last primary school year.
The schools who took part this year were Quadring Cowley and Brown’s Primary School, St. Norbert’s Catholic Primary School, Monkshouse Primary School, Clough and Risegate Community Primary School, Gosberton Academy, St. Bartholomew’s CE Primary School, Cowbit St. Mary’s Endowed CE Primary School, Moulton Chapel Primary School and Cowley Academy Donington.
Vice president Julie Grant said: “We would like to thank all the schools who took part in the Walk Tall scheme this year and for welcoming Lions Eileen Robson and John Steel into school to present our awards.”
The Lions are not naming the pupils involved.
