Lincolnshire Co-op: ‘No post box at our new £1.2m Holbeach hub is out of our hands’

Lincolnshire Co-op has held talks with Royal Mail about the fact there is no post box at the Co-op’s new £1.2million hub of services in Holbeach.

The hub includes a relocated Post Office but, as a reader of The Voice points out in a letter, there is no post box.

A Lincolnshire Co-op spokesman said: “Though the post office doesn’t currently feature a post box, customers can send their mail over the counter between the hours of 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday. The post office has recently moved from High Street, where the post box has remained active, enabling customers to make use of this as normal.

“The location of post boxes is something that is determined by Royal Mail. We have been talking to the company about this issue.”

She added: “We’re delighted that we’ve had some great feedback on our £1.2 million Holbeach hub of services. Customers have commented to say how spacious and uplifting the hub is, as well as how quick and convenient it is to use our services.”

The site also includes a food store, pharmacy and community library.
