Lincoln Arms take Division Two title

In the last week of the Spalding Darts season the most drama was always going to be in Division Two.

Three teams sat on the same points at the top of the league with only game difference separating them.
None of these teams were playing each other so it was an all-out win and win big to try and top the league.
The team that won the league was Lincoln Arms who were determined to take the title and beat Tigers B 9-0.
Ben Chester hit a 180 and Dave Bourne checked out 116.
Ye Olde Abbey won 6-3 against Mail Cart and doubles wins for JJ Biard, Stan Browning and Dave Norbury sealed the victory.
Steve Rawding, Harry and Paul Faulkner were the singles’ winners for the Mail Cart.
The final game in Division 2 was a 7-2 victory for Punchbowl A against Consti D and this secured them runners up spot.
Wins from Ant Norman, Harry Walsh, Simon Fidler, Chris Fidler and Paul Sellars won them the game. The sole single winner for Consti was Lindsey Wingell. Chris Fidler and Ady Smith both had 180s on the night.
Over to Division 1 and Tigers C secured runners up spot with a close 5-4 win against league winners Draymans Arms.
Draymans went 2-1 up in the pairs but the first three singles’ games went the way of the Tigers with Simon Hill, Mark Horspool and Ant Richardson winning.
Kev Newton and Logan Goddard both won for the Draymans to take the game to 4-4 but the experienced Kev Aldhouse brought the game home for the Tigers, beating Josh Grainger 2-0.
