Level crossing closures for Network Rail maintenance

A series of level crossings closures in South Holland and Boston has been announced to enable Network Rail to carry out essential maintenance.

A Network Rail spokesman said: “These are for a variety of reasons, most are for the annual test of the crossing equipment. Some are to upgrade the crossing surface/crossing deck, such as white lining, and tarmac repairs are also planned.

“The reason for the road closure is to prevent those working on the crossing from road traffic.”

Risegate Road level crossing, Gosberton
7.30am August 8 to 5pm August 30
8pm September 3 to 8am September 4
8pm September 10 to 8am September 11
8pm September 17 to 8am September 18
8pm September 24 to 8am September 25

Quadring level crossing, Town Drove
10pm August 16 to 6am August 17

Golden High Hedges Level Crossing, Cowdales Drove, Donington
8pm September 3 to 8pm September 4

Blue Gowt Lane level crossing, Pinchbeck
9am to 2pm September 14
9am to 2pm September 15
