LETTERS – Why scrap booking system?

I have just finished last week’s article ‘Drivers Warned Over Tip Queues’ and I can’t believe anyone wants to scrap the booking system.

The system makes so much more sense as a user of the centre for the last 20 years there nothing worse then loading up your grass cutting only to find there is a queue so you have to return home still loaded up.

I totally agree that people shouldn’t queue on the roadside as that’s dangerous so I was so happy when the booking system was introduced.

I would be interested how Coun Angela Newton gets rid of her waste or if she has even used the site.

As for her comment about staff being properly organised and helpful I find that offensive as a regular user am always direct to the correct skip and have been helped and witnessed the staff helping people who are struggling.

I would also be interested in seeing the results of the survey as I can’t believe residents would of said they wanted to return to the old way of queueing.
