I am writing as a concerned resident of Holbeach.
After reading about the proposed alteration to Holbeach High Street, neither of these schemes take into consideration where the diverted traffic will be travelling.
All the surrounding road off the access roads to the high street from either direction are not suitable to carry the increase in car traffic and, on top of this, lorries will be travelling on roads that are totally unsuitable.
I know of these problems as the High Street is closed for a few hours on a Sunday while the Christmas decorations are put up.
Goodness knows how big the problem would be if the High Street was to be closed every day?
