LETTERS – We need full support of people

As you all know, the outbreak of corona virus disease is now a pandemic.

We all are now facing an unforeseen reality and many of us are fearful and anxious of what will happen next. This, along with the fear of uncertainty is the root of stress amongst many of us. However, how you cope with this stress makes all the difference.

This is the time when we all need the full support of our community and the people who care about us. We can selflessly support each other even while maintaining a policy of social distancing; this makes us stronger as a community. There is no point in self-preservation as an individual; let’s all work together and do it as a community.

The government has issued advice to the elderly and vulnerable to self-isolate and avoid direct social contact where at all possible.

There is no need to panic – think of the vulnerable, so many of us want to help and make sure you are all ok.

Being a district councillor myself at this crucial time, I would like to offer my full support to the community, especially to those who are vulnerable and elderly.

If you need any assistance in acquiring food or toiletries please do not hesitate to contact me by calling 07427 094415 or email [email protected]

Wishing you all the very best.
