LETTERS – Trying to keep village tidy

Residents of Pinchbeck must have noticed that the dog poo bins have not been emptied for a while.

Many of the poo bag dispensers are also empty.

Responsible dog owners are still using bags that get placed by the bins, but there has been an increase in amount not picked up and the general litter in the village.

Last Sunday I collected 44 drinks cans from Gallery Walk and broken glass from Brayfields which a dog walker had pointed out to me.

As we have no parish roadman at present I do what I can, this includes asking a SHDC officer to empty the bins, which he did as promised the next morning and cutting back the hedge on Gallery Walk that did not allow the safe social distancing to users.

I have asked our district councillors to arrange SHDC to collect bins until a replacement roadman is set on but have not had a reply.
