LETTERS – Thanks to all who voted for me

Thank you to everyone who voted for me in the recent Lincolnshire County Council elections, I appreciated your support.

I especially wanted to thank you for your warm welcome and kindness towards me not only on election day but during the weeks of walking around the ward and meeting new people.

Thank heavens for the weather, it was good to chat and get to know so many wonderful people.

Thank you to Marilyn, Lucy and Scott and Russell, who gave me so much help and support during the campaign and also to Coun Gary Taylor and Sir John Hayes, who both gave me so much guidance and encouragement to keep going, along with the ladies in the office, thank you, I couldn’t have carried on without you.

I learnt a lot during this campaign which I know will help me in the future.

To only lose by 89 votes when other seats were lost by bigger margins, is a testament to all who helped me with this effort.

Congratulations Gary in keeping your seat, you worked tirelessly and deserved the win.

My day-to-day decisions are not governed by party politics, I do what I do because I care and going forward, I will continue to represent Spalding West, regardless of who residents voted for.

My congratulations to Manzur Hasan, who was the existing county councillor for Spalding West.

If you have any issues related to highways, potholes, crossings, speed limits, weight limits, street lights, public transport, schools, please email Manzur.Hasan@holland.gov.uk or call 07427 094415, I know Manzur will be able to help you on all these issues and will look forward to carrying on his position in the ward.

Coun Jan Whitbourn
South Holland district councillor and Conservative candidate for Lincolnshire County Council
