Letters – Thanks for supporting collection

On behalf of the Spalding Branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, I would like to thank everyone for their generous support of our charity by contributing to our collection in Spalding town centre on Saturday, July 21.

We are delighted that we managed to raise £394 for the RNLI. The money raised will help the RNLI maintain their rescue services and save lives at sea.

With many of your readers heading for the seaside this summer, it is reassuring that RNLI lifeguards and rescue crew are at hand should problems arise in the water. Last year an amazing 24,000 people were assisted by RNLI lifeguards around the coast.
