LETTERS – Thanks for support

Thank you for The Voice’s coverage of my fundraising efforts in Caffé Aurora, Holbeach, a couple of weeks ago on behalf of people affected by the flooding in the Rhondda Valley in South Wales.

I decided to fundraise for the Rhondda flood victims because it was a place I lived in for several years before coming to settle – very happily – here and several of my Welsh friends have had their lives massively disrupted and homes ruined.

The people of our area have been immensely generous and I can now reveal that the total raised was £421 and that the final amount was boosted by several people who have given since the initial event. There are too many donors to thank or name individually but my thanks go to all who gave for a cause which will benefit victims 220 miles away from South Holland.

Once again, proof of the kindness and generosity of the people of our area.

My sincerest thanks.
