LETTERS – Thanks for giving me an opportunity

I would like to thank all the residents of Pinchbeck and Surfleet ward who put their trust in me, by voting for me in the district elections on Thursday, May 4.
I am honoured to be elected again and delighted to be continuing to work with James and Elizabeth.
Firstly, I must thank the Returning Officer Christine Marshall and the hard-working teams at the polling stations and later at the count.
The whole event was extremely well-organised and conducted with quiet efficiency and good humour.
I would also like to thank my fellow elected Conservative councillors James Avery and Elizabeth Sneath for their energy and good humour, even at the most testing of times.
I am grateful to our opponents for standing, and for conducting a civilised campaign.
A dedicated group of volunteers have helped by delivering leaflets, displaying posters, lending sites for banners, and signing my nomination papers. Thank you all!
I am enormously grateful to my son for his thorough leaflet delivering, in all weathers.
Finally, a big thank you to my husband, who has put up with my worries, made many helpful suggestions and promoted my cause loyally.
I look forward to representing the interests of all residents in the ward during the next four years; thank you for giving me the opportunity.

Coun Sally Slade
