I am so proud of the way that our MP, Sir John Hayes has put so much effort in to helping local people oppose the development of the Spalding relief road.
It would have been so easy for him to lay low and pretend it was a county council matter beyond his influence, but instead he put his head above the parapet and stood up for all local people affected by the SWRR for which we are very grateful.
Thanks to his influence, the county council has agreed to look again and I know he will continue to insist that the views of local people and affected residents are at the heart of any future decisions.
