LETTERS – Symptoms need checking

I would like to thank everyone who attended the People’s Parade and Poppy Drop on Remembrance Sunday last year.

I apologise for this extremely late thank-you but as you may know I have been suffering with illness since last October. I also had a fall and broke my hip, which didn’t help the situation.

I spent several weeks in hospital on a drip.

My initial symptom in October was an incredibly itchy back which I foolishly ignored, it then transpired I had shingles, I would like to stress to everyone reading this that if they have these itchy symptoms, they should seek medical attention straight away, unlike myself, as shingles is an extremely painful illness and the sooner the treatment, the less pain and time benefit.

Thank you all, as always, for your support, and wishing you all the best for 2023.
