LETTERS – Stray dog killed my cat

Last week my cat was killed by an out of control dog.

It happened on Thursday July 8, at Haarlem Court and also in Ailsmeer Rise.

My cat was in the garden when the dog and owner went by.

The owner lost control of the dog which broke off its leash and killed my cat.

A neighbour says he saw a dog hyperventilating and going wild in the car park with the owner carrying the leash in her hands.

When I enquired later if anybody has seen my cat my neighbour then relayed what he saw and said that another cat had also been killed the same day closer to where I live.

He took me to the owner, of the second cat’s house, that was killed the same day by the same dog.

This was reported to the police by myself and the other feline owner.

The person owning the dog is obviously unfit to control her animal, which could quite as easily attack a young child as there is a child’s play park nearby.
