We couldn’t believe the high winds blew a tree down on to our bungalow at 10.15am on Sunday, July 2. It fell on the roof.
I emailed the highways department straight away.
We had a telephone call back within the hour and was told that it was an emergency.
We then had Mapleback Tree Care Hire out within four hours to deal with the incident.
We could not believe the fast response and on a Sunday too. They travelled from Southwell in Nottinghamshire.
Everything was cleared and checked and thankfully we had no damage.
I was amazed at the speed of the highways department responding 30 minutes after the email and with it all being cleared up within four hours.
