LETTERS – Roadworks traffic is horrendous

The comment about the closure of part of Wardentree Lane due to roadworks has not been too horrendous is, at best, a statement that should never have been made.
Being a resident on West Elloe Avenue, I can assure Sam Edwards it is horrendous.
We received a letter from LCC informing us of the route juggernauts should take.
However, quite clearly, this has been ignored.
The lorries now come down West Elloe in convoy formation making a very busy road, now even worse.
Good job it’s school holidays, because as soon as the autumn term starts, we will not be able to get off our drive.
