LETTERS – Pool needs to be for all to enjoy

I admire the fact that South Holland encourages and produces competitive swimmers, and any plans need to accommodate this.
Also, it needs to provide facilities for anyone else who wants to swim – we are not all competitive!
Can they provide a facility which everyone can enjoy? At a recent stay at a holiday hotel they had no problems getting a hoist out to enable a disabled lady to swim.
I have a nine-year-old granddaughter who I spent many happy hours in the training pool in Spalding before COVID, desperate to go swimming again but why should we have to book now?
If you provide a facility it should meet the needs of everyone and I think in this case, do not throw any more money at it – start again.
An upstairs balcony, miles of unused changing rooms and three pools, the deeper one I have never seen anyone in.
