LETTERS – Order needs enforcing

I am writing regarding the recurring comments in your letters page, of anti-social incidents in Spalding town.
Earlier in the year you published my letter regarding pavement cyclists. I sent a copy to each of my ward councillors on June 21, suggesting a remedy and asking for the Public Space Prohibition Order (PSPO) to be enforced.
At the September public business meeting, when questioned by another resident and myself regarding anti-social behaviour in Spalding, Coun Nick Worth replied he needed time, date, location and description of the incident.
To my mind, afterwards is too late.
However on October 2, I wrote to him giving details of an incident on September 30, again asking why PSPO was not enforced.
I understand that under local government rules all letters should be acknowledged within five days of receipt.
Then after a further period, any action or reasons for non-action should be sent to the writer.
I have had no response of any kind. In each case the letters were hand delivered to SHDC office reception.
Apparently our anti-social warden do not have the authority to deal with the PSPO in its entirety.
May I suggest they be usefully deployed elsewhere and the savings used to subsidise two town constables who do have the authority to enforce the rules.
It appears to me an utter waste of time and money on renewing the PSPO if it is not going to be enforced evenly and fairly or even at all.
