LETTERS – May I suggest he moves?

In response to the letter printed from D. Davis of Castlefields, Spalding.

Regarding the proposed 3G football pitch from local councillor Nick Worth, and the response from a resident of Castlefields, I wonder if Mr Davis is aware which I’m sure he is, that the Castle field (ironically his street is named after it) was there for many, many years before his property was even built and happily hosted many football matches for all different ages of people and teams over the years.

Unfortunately people have the mentality of “as long as it’s not in my backyard” I don’t care.

May I suggest that if Mr Davis is worried by the prospect of a new football pitch being built to replace the old football pitch that he moves. God forbid if anyone decides to renovate the BMX track that has sat dormant for over 25 years. He might even write another letter in anger.

If only that was the only thing most people had to worry about in life.
