I am writing to you regarding the growing blight of dropped litter in the area.
As a family we have been picking a lot of litter in our village, and we were gob smacked when we visited Applegreen today and saw the volume of discarded rubbish in the green space next to the petrol station.
There are several bins available and some rubbish has been thrown on the floor right next to the bins!
Though in some ways it is better that this filth is discarded at the point of sale, rather than down country lanes, no one is taking responsibility for cleaning it up.
Given this is possibly the first place many visitors to our town stop it really makes a statement about the people living here, an unfair statement by and large, but one that doesn’t encourage any form of respect.
