LETTERS – Let’s see how seats work out

There is much comment about the new town seating.
It is not yet built but I do get the picture.
I am one of those people who needs to sit down every so often so I and others like me appreciate a seat to sit on.
The provision of nice trees and flowers is welcome.
Let’s see how it works.
Having smaller and spaced out seats may help in making them less attractive to the street drinkers and small gangs of teenagers and adults which congregate.
I also hope that the design deters rats nesting.
I also hope that they are properly supervised by street wardens and environmental health although I doubt that this is in the town centre plan.
