LETTERS – Let’s have a GP’s point of view

After reading the letter GPs are letting us down in this week’s edition of The Voice, I could not agree more with your letter writer. Everything in this letter is exactly my sentiments.

It would be very helpful I think to have a GP’s point of view on this matter, as I do not understand why they cannot see patients as normal.

As your reader pointed out, dentists surgeries are open and they seem to operate very efficiently.

I don’t think this problem is just in the South Holland area either as my GP surgery is in the Peterborough area, and I have a friend in North Yorkshire who is also having problems with seeing her GP.

An explanation from the GPs on this situation would be very helpful, especially as we are told by Matt Hancock that if we have a need to see a GP that they are open as normal.
