Letters – Leave our Swan Street and fill potholes

Re Roger Gambba-Jones (Voice March 29).

I totally disagree with your suggestion to close Swan Street.

I don’t know where you got your information from that “everyone” said it was fantastic when it was closed a few years ago due to Sainsbury’s collapsed sewer.

It certainly did not improve the traffic flow at all, in fact it was a nightmare having to go all the way round to get to New Road and Westlode Street.

We have hundreds more cars on the road everywhere which causes a bit of congestion so we all have to have a little more patience to get to our destinations.

It would be a total waste of money, leave our Swan Street as it is.

If Lincolnshire County Council need to spend money, they should get the potholes sorted out on all the roads to stop causing damage to our cars.

That would be money well spent, not by taking away our little short cut.
