LETTERS – I’ve lost faith in police

In reference to your article last week ‘Report crimes or lose police’, the lack of action after reporting an incident is something I’ve experienced.
I feel you stand more chance of winning the lottery without a ticket than a police investigation going anywhere.
I’ve had my motorbike stolen, I’ve been the victim of a fraud scam and I’ve been assaulted.
For each and every one they said they couldn’t do anything because it was a ‘civil matter’.
Surely a motorbike being stolen is criminal and not a civil matter.
I’ve lost all faith in Lincolnshire Police.
It seems to me all they want to do is childish crimes like if someone’s number plate is too dirty.
It’s not like Dixon of Dock Green anymore.
