LETTERS – It’s a pleasure to give praise

The NHS and the postal service get a lot of (justified) criticism, so, it gives me great pleasure to praise both services when praise is due.

Around 11am on Friday, August 22, I received a phone call from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn offering me an appointment for Sunday, August 31. The caller advised that I would receive a letter confirming the appointment.

At around 10am on Saturday, August 23, I receive the promised letter of appointment.

In less than 24 hours, the NHS was able to process and post a letter confirming my appointment and I was able to receive said letter in the post.

I am still shell shocked at the speed and efficiency provided by both services.
