LETTERS – I must correct changes

Thank you for publishing my letter on Palestine last week (October 16), but I must, please, correct editorial changes you made.

You omitted my reference to the ‘militaristic attack’ the Zionist movement made on Palestine in 1948.

That is widely recognised by all sides and is too important a part of history to be omitted. Incidentally (a slip of the pen I suspect): in changing the sentence, you made it Israel that was divided in 1948. It was, of course, Palestine.
