We have five cats, all very savvy outdoor cats, but a tight family unit that stick with us like glue.
Our eldest Blue is around three to four and came to us starved, unable to support the weight of her own head, whiskers chopped off and a clear kink in her tail.
She would come to us each day for food.
We had ferrets who she would sit and eat with. After two litters we currently have five cats.
All come to me upon being called, and have a nightly walk with me. They all know commands and there is a very strong bond between us.
We have recently relocated from the Norfolk Fens to Holbeach.
We did everything right, kept the cats in, orientated them later on to their surroundings and so on.
All seemed well but on Sunday October 6 four went out and didn’t return. They next day Blue did the same.
One, Dave, returned five days later but to date there’s been no sign of the others. It really is out of their character as they rarely stray from us.
We are absolutely gutted and devastated, but Dave being here is really helping us.
We are doing everything possible. They are all chipped and registered and reported accordingly.
We have also been in touch with numerous horse places in the area as they have lived around them for some time.
The response has been overwhelming.
The saving grace is they are very able cats, hunt well and can feed themselves and seek shelter.
Blue is a grey, silver tabby with ticked fur, green blue eyes, white chin and white bib. She has a distinctive swirl in her bottom across each side of her body, and a cross in her marking along her back and shoulders.
Big Vic is a large gangly brown tabby male with ticked fur and the same as Blue, ginger eyes, white bib and feet.
Jenny Mae has long ginger brown and some black hair, the same distinctive markings plus white chin, bib and socks. Her white tipped tail has extremely long fur, with even longer black silky strands of fur.
Brick is a large black cat with white chin, bib and socks. On his right ear there is a healed nick/cut.
We are desperate to get them home. I’ve never been in such a situation and it is absolutely heartbreaking.
