LETTERS – Give wildlife peace

I see from an item in The Voice that the new bridge for Two Plank Lane is to be subject to more delay, the end of the year was mentioned.
As someone who walks this river bank at least twice a day and has been subjected to all sorts of stories and excuses, most of which I suspect came at the last minute of the top of someone’s head, I think that “the end of the year” in reality will most likely to be next summer at the earliest.
So please remove all of the, now unnecessary, fencing and timber from this once cool and pleasant grassed area surrounded by trees.
The impact on the local wildlife, birds, squirrels and deer has been very obvious to regular walkers and they need some peace and quiet to recover.
