It is very encouraging when you see the diligence and effectiveness of a Member of Parliament to know that he represents you and the place in which you live.
We are fortunate to have such an MP in Sir John Hayes. John is exceptionally diligent and highly effective.
As I read how he had responded to the excellent coverage given by the Spalding Voice to the health challenges faced by little Rae White, I realised, once again, just how much he cares for all of us here in South Holland and The Deepings and just how skilful he is in taking up, understanding and championing a complex issue.
Anyone with doubts about politics or Parliament would do well to read the speech Sir John made on the subject of spinal muscular atrophy in the House of Commons.
John Hayes’ diligent determination is a model from which all those who campaign for others can learn.
