LETTERS – Footpath is not for cyclists

Park Road path is for pedestrians.

It is not a cycle path, it never has been and Rodney Sadd’s letter is giving out incorrect information.

Neither is Pinchbeck Road from the top of Enterprise Way on to Pinchbeck Road. The cycle path ends and does not start again until you reach the traffic lights at West Elloe Avenue, both are for pedestrians only.

They are not wide enough for both cyclists and pedestrians, and I know pedestrians are being shoulder-barged by ignorant cyclists trying to get by causing conflicts between the two.

A cycle path should be marked out on the road and cyclists should be made to use them and fined for using the path to jump traffic lights.
