LETTERS – Family gathering invitation

Anyone who is a member of the Mason and Dennis families, or who knows or remembers them is invited to a family reunion on Sunday, July 30, in Moulton Chapel Community Centre from 1pm until 4pm.
The guest of honour is 91-year-old Trevor Dennis who was born in Treena, Woodgate, and who married Maureen Mason at St James’ Church in 1954.
Trevor’s sister Marion passed away last year and his wife Maureen died in 2021.
Organiser, Trevor’s daughter Jacqui Woods, said: “This year sees the resumption of our much loved family reunions when our relatives from all branches of the family get together for a catch-up, swop stories and information and generally have a great time.
“We don’t limit it to family, though, as it’s wonderful to see friends and acquaintances of Trevor and Maureen and her sisters Jo, Bridget, Jenny, Gwenda and Janice and her brothers Roger and Gerald.
“There’s usually a buzz of conversation and laughter and phrases like “do you remember?” and “did you know?” can be heard throughout the room.
“There’s tea and coffee and other refreshments and all who would like to come will be given a very warm welcome. If you would like to bring a plate of anything for the communal table it would be greatly appreciated but most importantly just come and say hello.
“Help us enjoy this special event. We will all be delighted to see you.”
Further information can be had from Jacqui on 07981 910 154.
